Stop The Guilt And Hire A Babysitter

time-to-hire-a-babysitterIt’s a mommy thing. That guilt feeling is all part of being a mom. You’ll definitely have moments when you feel guilty. One of those moments is when you ask for help. Either it’s help with your kids or help around the house. Whatever it is, you’ll somehow feel guilty.

It’s Expected Of You

As a mom, you’re expected to do everything. So you’re pressured to do everything. The worse part of it all is this. You end up doing everything. That’s no joke. It’ll eventually get you down. As a mom, you can’t afford that to happen to you.

But don’t worry. You’re not the only mom that’s tormented with guilt feelings. This video shows how other moms feel guilty as well.

Take a look at this particular mom. She hires a cleaning lady every five to six weeks. She needs to do this so that she can do other things. But she does feel guilty about it. This is what she has to say.

“I’m a stay-at-home mom for the most part. And sometimes I get tired of cleaning … Because I am a stay-at-home, I should be able to do that and I feel guilty because I’m not bringing in… cash to the family. But I’m spending it for someone else to clean.”

It’s a natural feeling. You don’t have to be a stay-home mom to feel the same way. As a mom, you’re bound to feel guilty at some point.

It Is Okay To Ask For Help

But it is okay to ask for help. Whether it’s help around the house or with the kids, you have a right to ask for help. Most of time, you need help with the kids. So don’t feel guilty if you need a babysitter.

You need a break. You know it and you shouldn’t feel guilty about it. Hiring a babysitter can give you that free time for yourself. You need that free time. You deserve it. So don’t feel guilty about hiring a babysitter. You need help so do something about it.

“I need help. I’m going to solve the problem and get the help that I need.”

So it’s okay to admit that you need help. It’s okay to get a babysitter. Most of importantly, it’s okay to take a break.

“We have to shift our beliefs. And I remember when I first became a mom, I was in school and I had this guilt about leaving my son with a babysitter so that I could go to class. And so I kinda came up with these four questions…that helps me in that specific situation go, ‘Okay, what am I believing about this. Where is this coming from and do I really want to hold on to this belief or this way of thinking …”

Those are great tips for you to follow if you really want to make a mentality shift. You really need to stop thinking that you have to do everything. Make that mentality shift. Start thinking that you deserve a break. You’ll get rid of the guilt and hire a babysitter or any kind of help for that matter.
